My artist’s journey began as a young girl, only 8 years of age, when upon moving to a house on a ravine I discovered a hidden ledge outside my bedroom window. I began writing there and found solace from all my childhood troubles. Over the years, my muse has led me on an extraordinary and fulfilling journey of self-expression through songwriting, jewelry design and painting. Each form of artistic expression brings me the same feelings of shelter from the outside world. Currently I am captivated by the world of acrylic paint.
I have always felt things deeply, which had I not expressed through art, would have caused a personal explosion years ago. I am fascinated by the endless possibilities of different mediums. Perhaps an inventor in a previous life, I am excited to use things in different ways than they were intended. I love to explore themes, relationships, textures and colours. Painting helps me “figure it out” and most importantly, painting brings me joy.
